Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily front office operations including scheduling, patient flow, and staff coordination
  • Manage optical dispensary operations including frame inventory, lens orders, and vendor relationships
  • Train, supervise, assist, and support all staff in all roles to ensure exceptional patient experiences
  • Handle insurance verification, billing, and claims processing for vision and medical plans
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and office policies and procedures
  • Resolve patient concerns and maintain high standards of customer service
  • Monitor office performance metrics and assist with budgeting and reporting
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in optical office management or a senior optometric role
  • Familiarity with optical dispensing, frame styling, and lens products preferred
  • Experience with vision insurance plans (VSP, EyeMed, Medicaid) and medical billing
  • Proficiency with optical or medical practice management software (e.g. Revolution EHR)
  • Strong leadership and team‑building skills with a positive, hands‑on approach
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • ABO certification or state licensure a plus
