Position Overview:


A Student Optician's purpose is to exceed client expectations while promoting the Spectacle culture with great client service and demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of all eyewear, sunwear, and vision care products and services. With a clear understanding of Spectacle’s mission and vision, your role as a Student Optician will be to to ensure each and every store visitor is served with  enthusiasm, expertise, friendliness, and honesty.


Think of yourself as part optician, part problem-solver, part stylist, part sales associate and part brand ambassador.


Your Qualities:


A successful candidate’s qualities are that of a team player with a fashion sense, able to work in a fast paced environment with great customer service and communication skills.  


Experience in a sales environment is a requirement. A background in retail, management, fashion and/or design would be an asset.


You must be enrolled in a Opticianry program in order to apply for this position.


Your Duties:


  • Provide top-notch, stellar customer service
  • Demonstrate exceptional product knowledge (and be able to give expert style advice)
  • Brainstorm (and think creatively) about ways in which to optimize each customer’s experience
  • Communicate Spectacle’s values and brand philosophy to customers
  • Work with other team members to ensure all customers receive exceptional service throughout their shopping and purchasing experience
  • Learn and grow with Spectacle as our retail presence expands
