WHAT YOU'LL DO: Patient Support Specialists assist at various offices within their region, performing administrative and clinical functions in support of technicians, opticians, and patient services representatives within our optometry practices. If you love variety in your work day, this may be the perfect spot for you!
Our technicians support physicians by completing preliminary testing with patients and facilitating the beginning of the appointment. Opticians counsel patients through the process of selecting the best frames and lenses for their medical needs and personal style. Patient services representatives provide clerical support for the practice. They are the first impression, welcoming patients and preparing them for their appointment, and typically the last stop in a patient visit, checking patients out, taking payments, and assisting with follow-up appointment scheduling.
As a Patient Support Specialist, you have the opportunity to learn all three practice areas!
