Duties & Responsibilities:
As a Optical & Electrical Engineering Intern at Viavi Solutions, you will contribute to the design, development, and testing of advanced optical and electrical systems for our cutting-edge network test and measurement solutions. This role offers hands-on experience in a dynamic engineering environment.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the design, simulation, and prototyping of electrical circuits and optical modules.
  • Conduct laboratory testing and characterization of hardware components and systems, including data acquisition and analysis.
  • Develop and execute test plans, analyze results, and document findings.
  • Support senior engineers in troubleshooting and debugging hardware issues.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to technical discussions.
  • Research and evaluate new technologies, components, and methodologies.
  • Maintain accurate records of experiments, designs, and analysis.

Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:
Job Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of circuit design principles, analog and digital electronics.
  • Familiarity with optical components, fiber optics, or optical communication systems is a plus.
  • Experience with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and power supplies.
