Sr. Java Developer
Location: Columbus, OH
Type: 3+ Months Contract-to-Hire
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to design, develop, and support enterprise-scale APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), along with experience in DevOps and event-driven architectures.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and Microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Build scalable integration solutions across enterprise platforms.
  • Develop cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
  • Implement event-driven solutions using Kafka.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Jenkins, and Maven.
  • Collaborate with architects, business teams, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, code reviews, and mentor junior developers.

Required Skills
  • 5+ years of Java development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
