Job Description Summary:
ModMed is seeking a driven Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our high-performing, collaborative, and passionate team. In this role, you'll streamline development operations, automate workflows, and improve deployment reliability, enabling our developers to deliver high-quality healthcare software faster.
This is a hands-on role where you'll modernize cloud infrastructure, enhance CI/CD pipelines, and drive automation, helping shape the future of our cloud-native platform. This role is based at our HQ in Boca Raton, FL.
What you'll do
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Administer and optimize AWS environments for security, performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Automation & CI/CD: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and AWS services to ensure smooth, reliable deployments.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Implement and maintain Terraform, Ansible, and other IaC tools for consistent, repeatable infrastructure provisioning.
  • Monitoring & Observability: Leverage DataDog to proactively detect, analyze, and resolve issues.
  • Containerization & Orchestration: Manage Kubernetes and container workflows to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Performance & Cost Optimization: Continuously tune cloud resources for optimal performance and cost efficiency.
    Developer Enablement: Enable self-service infrastructure for developers through GitOps, APIs, UIs, and automated tooling.
  • Incident Management & Troubleshooting: Rapidly resolve complex issues across cloud environments.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement cloud security best practices and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Mentorship & Collaboration: Guide junior engineers, foster learning, and promote DevOps best practices across teams.
  • Windows & IIS Expertise: Manage Windows Servers, IIS, SSL/TLS certificates, patching, hardening, and troubleshoot performance issues.

What you bring
  • Experience: 2+ years in DevOps or cloud engineering roles.
  • Cloud Expertise: Deep hands-on experience with AWS, including security, performance tuning, and cost management.
  • Automation & Tooling: Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Jenkins, DataDog, and scripting languages (Python, Bash).
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of networking, cloud security, CI/CD best practices, and Windows Server/IIS administration.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to mentor engineers and lead DevOps initiatives.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills, able to clearly explain technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
