Empire Fiber is seeking someone to join our Field Ops Department within the following areas: Batavia, NY | Lehigh Valley, PA | Scranton, PA | Odessa, NY | Elmira, NY | Prattsburgh, NY

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Field Ops Technician to help support and maintain our growing network infrastructure and field operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys teamwork, independence, and building something that keeps communities connected.

What You’ll Do:
  • Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of field equipment and network infrastructure
  • Support construction, service delivery, and connectivity projects in the field
  • Read and interpret maps, prints, and technical documentation
  • Assist with underground and aerial operations, including splicing and connectivity work
  • Coordinate with internal departments, contractors, and vendors to ensure projects stay on schedule
  • Respond to service issues and provide excellent customer support when needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation and workflow updates
  • Operate company vehicles, tools, and equipment safely and responsibly
