2nd Shift Production Supervisor | Structural Steel Fabrication

TATEFAB — White House, TN
(Approximately 30 miles north of Nashville)

TATEFAB is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor with strong structural steel fabrication and fitting experience to lead 2nd Shift fabrication operations.

This is a hands-on leadership role for a skilled structural steel fabricator who can drive production, maintain accountability, solve problems quickly, and keep shop operations moving efficiently during 2nd Shift operations.


Compensation & Schedule
  • $30–$40/hr depending on experience and leadership capability

  • Overtime opportunities available

  • Full-Time Position

2nd Shift Schedule

Monday–Friday
3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
(Subject to production demands)

Position Responsibilities
  • Lead 2nd Shift fabrication operations

  • Coordinate workflow and production priorities

  • Read structural steel fabrication drawings

  • Perform layout, fitting, and fabrication work

  • Address production issues and workflow bottlenecks

  • Maintain quality, production, and accountability standards

  • Reinforce safety and organized work areas

  • Support communication and coordination between shifts

  • Assist with training and development of fabrication personnel


Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years structural steel fabrication experience preferred

  • Strong fitting and layout experience required

  • Ability to read fabrication drawings independently

  • Leadership or crew supervision experience

  • Experience with structural steel, stairs, rails, and miscellaneous metals

  • Understanding of fabrication sequencing and production workflow

  • Familiarity with overhead cranes, fabrication tools, and shop equipment


Operational Expectations
  • Maintain organized, efficient, and clean work areas

  • Reduce wasted movement and unnecessary material handling

  • Improve workflow efficiency and shop organization

  • Reinforce housekeeping and tool/material organization standards


Physical & Work Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods

  • Ability to lift and handle steel materials, fabrication tools, and equipment

  • Ability to work safely in an active industrial fabrication environment
