Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs, using standardized tools and clinical judgment to inform appropriate treatment plans.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment strategies that reflect the unique backgrounds and challenges faced by each client.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in line with best practices.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to ensure holistic and integrated care for clients.
• Provide educational resources and support for clients' families, promoting active involvement in the recovery process and fostering a deeper understanding of mental health issues.
• Maintain meticulous and secure documentation of client progress, adhering strictly to HIPAA guidelines and other regulatory standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a mental health counselor at Gotham Enterprises Ltd, you will serve a diverse client base facing a wide array of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance use disorders. Your ability to understand and respect the cultural variations among clients will foster a therapeutic relationship that encourages trust and openness.

Qualifications

• A valid and current license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field.
• A solid foundation in mental health counseling principles, demonstrated through either specialized training or extensive practical experience.
• Strong understanding of evidence-based methodologies for treating diverse mental health disorders.
• Exceptional therapeutic communication skills with a talent for establishing rapport and motivating clients.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in providing both individual and group therapy in a community health setting.
• A background in crisis intervention and management, with skills in de-escalation techniques.
