Job Description
Highly Important: This role requires native or business-level fluency in Mandarin Chinese to support our specific client base.
The firm is seeking a Client Service Associate to join our Private Client Division in our Midtown East, NY branch office. The primary responsibilities include servicing clients, marketing, scheduling, prioritizing meetings, managing database, general organizational support, as well as client interaction. The ideal candidate will have a proactive mindset in order to anticipate business needs and will assume ad hoc responsibility for project-oriented tasks. This role will handle details of a highly confidential and critical nature and collect and prepare information for use in discussions/meetings of executive staff.
Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support, which includes but not limited to the creation, maintenance and editing of documents, spreadsheets, files, and presentations
  • Calendar management and coordination of meetings, including all logistics
  • Database management
  • Client interaction and service
  • Perform special projects as assigned
Skills/Requirements
  • Fluent in English and Business level fluency in Mandarin, required
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 1-2 years financial services/fixed Income experience required
  • Possess a high degree of proficiency with MS Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Able to interface and articulate well with all levels of employees and clients in a highly professional and friendly manner
  • FINRA Registrations: SIE, Series 7/63 or 66 preferred or willing to obtain (Will be sponsored)
  • Fluent in English and Business level fluency in Mandarin, required

Compensation
For job postings in New York State, Oppenheimer is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary for this role. This salary is specific to the State of New York and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making salary decisions including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary is $55,000.00 at the time of this posting. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus.
