Job Description:

Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. is seeking a Mutual Fund Services Administration Specialist to join Oppenheimer Asset Management (OAM) in New York. The ideal candidate will have product management or program administration experience, knowledge of financial markets and asset management, and particular knowledge of mutual funds and ETFs. This role supports Oppenheimer Financial Advisors and Sales Assistants on covered securities and includes elements of relationship management in a proactive, team-based home office environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for Oppenheimer Financial Advisors and Sales Assistants
  • Utilize various systems to produce and provide analysis of portfolios for existing and prospective Oppenheimer clients
  • Conduct training for Financial Advisors through in-branch presentations, virtual meetings, and conference calls
  • Contribute to the development of investment themes and fund features based on investment categories, benchmark analysis, and product analysis
  • Work collaboratively with Sales & Marketing, Fund Advisory, and Mutual Fund Services team members to manage incoming Financial Advisor call volume and outgoing call campaigns
  • Coordinate and test departmental technology projects
  • Coordinate selling agreement negotiations and manage ongoing sales and operational requirements
  • Communicate product availability to program administration teams and field representatives across U.S. and offshore mutual fund distributors, ETF issuers, and 529 plan providers
  • Administer and maintain Mutual Fund Services web pages
  • Assist in the coordination and promotion of Oppenheimer and Oppenheimer Asset Management special events

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience within a broker-dealer, asset management firm, mutual fund company, or related financial services organization
  • Knowledge of financial markets and asset management products, including mutual funds and ETFs
  • Outstanding communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate across departments
  • Possess a high degree of proficiency with MS Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Morningstar and FactSet preferred
  • FINRA Registrations: SIE, Series 6 or 7, and Series 63/65 or 66 preferred

Compensation:

For job postings in New York State, Oppenheimer is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. This salary range is specific to the State of New York and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making salary decisions including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 at the time of this posting. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus.
