Packaging/Warehouse Operator
Department: Production
Reports to: Production Manager
Employment Status: Full-time
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Effective Date: 09/01/2023
Position Summary
As the packaging/warehouse operator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of our packaging and warehouse functions. This position requires a motivated and dedicated individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Exemplify and promote safety in all aspects of the position
  • Adheres to and enforces strict cleaning and sanitization guidelines in relation to FDA, CDC and local health department guidelines
  • Operates bottle, can and keg packaging equipment.
  • Runs CIP (cleaning in place) cycles before startup and after shutdown of the lines.
  • Performs QC procedures throughout packaging runs.
  • Completes production and batch reporting as required.
  • Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner according to UCBC policies and procedures, GMPs, applicable laws, and FDA, TTB, and OSHA regulations.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area.
  • Organize and manage warehouse space, ensuring efficient storage and accessibility
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels
Required Certifications
  • Scissor lift certification (preferred)
  • Forklift certification (can obtain at UCBC)
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
  • 1-2 years of experience in a production environment. Previous brewery or packaging experience a plus.
  • High School or GED equivalent
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Willing and able to work a flexible schedule (some evenings and some early mornings)
