Tuesday - Friday - 3rd Shift (Night/Overnight)

Forklift Operator 2

2B: Tuesday-Friday 6:00pm-4:00am

Located in North end of Gateway Commerce Industrial Park

Position Summary

The Forklift Operator II is primarily responsible for safely operating complex powered material handling equipment including High Reach, Order Picker, Drexel/Turret Swing Mast, Clamp and Double Fork Truck for the purpose of product receipt, storage and order fulfillment. This position is responsible for product safety, quality, legality and integrity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Full case order picking for replenishment, customer orders and packaging components.
  • Pallet retrieval and put away in narrow aisle bulk rack storage system
  • Quality control to ensure accuracy of all transactions
  • Use of wire guidance systems for navigating narrow aisles where applicable
  • Loading and unloading of pallets and cases from trucks and conveyor lines, by hand or equipment
  • Sorting, building and wrapping products with pallets to ensure compliance with customer expectations
  • Maintain accuracy of storage locations by performing daily cycle counts and routine inventory maintenance tasks
  • Perform other distribution work functions as needed due to business volume and need
  • Adhering to strict OSHA safety rules
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1+ years' experience with daily power equipment operations, preferred. 6-months minimum is required.
  • Must meet all PPE and fall protection requirements.
  • Ability to operate powered complex material handling equipment, High Reach, Order Picker, Drexel/Turret Swing Mast, Clamp and Double Fork Truck
  • Not afraid of working on equipment at extended heights.
  • Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail and coordination
