FURNITURE EQUIPMENT OPERATOR TRAINEE

AT A GLANCE:

Broad River Retail is currently seeking a Furniture Equipment Operatorto join our Operations Team. Theposition is responsiblefor operating a stock picker lift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. Perform cycle counts, assessing merchandise for damages and ensure that material and products will always be at the right place.

DAY IN THE LIFE AS THIS MEMORY MAKER:

  • Safely operate all material handling equipment and stock picker lift
  • Recognize and adhere to proper product orientation
  • Safely load and unload products for distribution, customer pick up and or storage
  • Accurately receive and tag products properly for distribution or storage
  • Identify and communicate defective products and packaging and process accordingly
  • Perform cycle counts of physical inventory
  • Maintain building, grounds, and equipment cleanliness
  • Exhibit personal excellence by accepting cross-training opportunities
  • Following company attendance policies
  • All other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Certification to operate stock picker and sit-down forklifts
  • Manual dexterity and capacity to maneuver furniture
  • Ability to listen to and follow directions and instructions
  • Experience working in warehouse environment is preferred

WORKPLACE ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is:

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch on concrete flooring
  • Must be able to routinely lift or move objects up to 75 pounds alone and team lift objects over 75 pounds
  • Working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday
