As a Production Operator, you’ll be responsible for performing essential operational and maintenance tasks to keep our pipe mill running safely and efficiently.

Your Day-to-Day Impact

  • Committing to safety and quality in all tasks
  • Performing area 5S tasks to maintain cleanliness and organization
  • Working any assigned shift with flexibility
  • Completing autonomous maintenance tasks (greasing, oiling, checking fluid levels)
  • Operating overhead cranes, jib cranes, and motorized vehicles
  • Participating in continuous improvement activities
  • Troubleshooting minor electrical and mechanical issues
  • Knowing the location of all shutdown and lockout switches in your area
  • Removing scrap and maintaining a clean work environment
  • Operating all floor stations in your assigned area
  • Making equipment adjustments as directed by operators or supervisors
  • Understanding the functionality of all equipment in the pipe mill
  • Identifying and reporting quality defects immediately
  • Minimizing operational delays by proactively addressing breakdowns and hazards
  • Completing shift reports and submitting to Team Leader by end of shift
  • Executing tooling and roll changes
  • Performing effective equipment repairs within your expertise
  • Using QA tools and measurement instruments (micrometers, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned
