Summary
The Helper assists the Machine Operator in production.
Job Responsibilities
  • Follow Machine Operator's instructions.
  • Keep area clean and organized.
  • Assist Crane Operator with loading material.
 
STRENGTH RATING:
Very Heavy Work - Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force frequently (1/3 to 2/3 of the time) and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly (2/3 or more of the time) to move objects.
 
DEMANDS:
Each of these physical activities is essential to the job occasionally to frequently: Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping/bending, reaching, handling and feeling.
 
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions.
 
NOISE INTENSITY LEVEL:
Moderate
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Good communication (written and verbal) skills and the ability to speak read and write Basic English.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Must be a self-motivated, dependable, team-oriented person with a positive Can-Do attitude who can be effective under pressure.
  • Ability to work as a team with other personnel assigned to the job
  • 6 months consecutive experience in production is ideal, but not required
  • Willingness to work overtime.
  • Participate in ensuring a safe work environment through promoting all company safety policies.
  • Ability to be patient, calm and helpful with internal and external customers to resolve issues in a constructive manner.
  • 6 months Forklift Driver experience preferred, but not required
  • High School Diploma/GED is preferred, but not required
  • Ability to comprehend and implement oral instructions quickly.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and to comprehend measurements
  • Good eyesight or wear corrective lenses as seeing is essential to the job. Applicant must be able to have clear vision at 20 feet or more and have good depth perception to judge distance and space relationships.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Knowledge of compass directions.
