Job description

Grinding Machine Operators 

 
Automation Personnel Services is looking for Grinding Machine Operators for a company based in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will have the opportunity to advance your career while being a key part of a dynamic team in a fast-growing, pipe manufacturing and fabrication company.  

Pay Rate  
$12.00/$16.00 per hour 

Schedule and Hours  
Monday through Saturday, 7:00am to 7pm 

40+ hours a week, sometimes over 60 hours per week.  

Grinding Machine Operators Duties and Responsibilities 

• Operated grinding machinery and ensured seamless transport of finished product to maintain continuous production flow  

• Inspected mechanical equipment regularly to detect wear, damage, or operational issues 

•Prepared and calibrated machines prior to each job, reporting any malfunctions or concerns promptly to a supervisor 

•Reviewed pipe identifiers to verify correct specifications for each production run 

•Confirmed pipe details before initiating any processing steps, ensuring accuracy and compliance 

• Kept the workstation clean, organized, and in full alignment with safety standards 

• Reported equipment failures and potential defects swiftly to supervisory personnel to prevent downtime 

Grinding Machine Operators Qualifications and Requirements  

• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing operations or a related industrial setting  

• Thorough knowledge of industry standards, workplace safety practices, and regulatory compliance 

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, fostering effective collaboration 

• Exceptional attention to detail with proven organizational efficiency 

• Basic proficiency in enterprise systems including SAP and GURUSOFT 

• Multilingual or bilingual capabilities strongly preferred
