Job Summary:

As a Field Operations Manager, you will retain the responsibility for the efficient installation and servicing of NCS carwash systems and accessories within his/her assigned service area. You will manage, organize, direct, and perform various work phases necessary to provide complete customer satisfaction.

Job Duties

You will lead the team on the following:

  • Train new service technicians on safety and technical job requirements, accountable for team’s awareness of changes per service and safety bulletins. Supervises, coordinates, assists, and trains Service Technicians and PMPI Technicians
  • Organize and deliver technical training programs for field personnel to elevate skill levels and service quality
  • Deliver comprehensive ERP training for regional staff to strengthen system proficiency and operational consistency.
  • Provide advanced ERP support to regional managers, resolving complex system issues and ensuring continuity of operations.
  • Conduct quality assurance touchpoints to assess service performance, identify failures, and support corrective action plans.
  • Promote preventive maintenance and chemical sales programs, support service execution, and maintain related program records.
  • Manage the Inventory Control Lead in supporting inventory planning and ensuring appropriate replacement parts and supplies are available to meet operational needs.
  • Manage the Inventory Control Lead in supporting timely warranty parts returns and ensuring required service reports are accurate and complete.
  • Oversee inventory processes, ensuring accurate execution, accountability, and alignment with company standards.
  • Drives continuous improvement program for territories within region, identifying leading practices that can be made into standard operating procedures and implemented across the region,
  • Leading and overseeing execution of Kaizen events with field personnel to identify root cause issues, create new process, tools, and tech solutions led from field personnel input
  • Drive change management processes for rollout of new initiatives to ensure clarity, alignment, and consistency across territories.
  • Provides Sr. Field Operations Manager and Field Operations Director with recommendations and projections associated with service expenses and revenue. Keeps TSM informed of all significant problems and progress of resolutions
  • Develop and maintain reporting tools and dashboards that enhance visibility into regional performance and key operational metrics.
  • Analyze operational and performance data to support regional management in strategic and tactical decision making.
  • Support targeted operations investigations to identify, create corrective actions and execute plans to recover profit or revenue losses
  • Lead initiatives that shape and reinforce a positive, high performance organizational culture.
  • Provide technical support to field personnel, troubleshooting issues and ensuring timely resolution of field level challenges.
  • Performs administrative functions required of personnel in a supervisory capacity.
  • Responsible for knowing and complying with all service policies and procedures.
  • Comply with and ensure all team members comply with all applicable OSHA, EPA, DOT, local regulatory laws, and company safety policies
  • Ensure operational compliance by monitoring adherence to established policies and procedures, and develop or clarify new policies as organizational needs evolve.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Support all levels of Field Management on strategic personnel decisions, including staffing, performance management, and leadership development.
  • Support the development of Field Service Supervisors by coaching leadership capabilities, reinforcing role expectations, and promoting consistent people-management practices across the field organization.
  • Periodically works with equipment sales team and marketing personnel providing technical assistance and participating in sales related activities as applicable.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of similar work experience.
  • Proven experience in new business development, achieving revenue goals, and managing sales strategies in line with company objectives.
  • Experience connecting with customers in a way that builds trust and creates strong relationships.
  • Strong leadership and influence without authority.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presenting to small and larger groups.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Perceptive listener with the ability to ask pertinent questions and hold business units accountable for data and analytics needed to manage assigned accounts successfully.
  • Ability to manage multiple objectives, tasks, and clients.
  • Solid computer skills (MS Office applications, specifically Excel and PowerPoint) and working knowledge of CRM software.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data and explain analytics and key metrics to customers in an organized fashion.
  • Maintain a satisfactory attendance record.
  • Perform the responsibilities of the position at a satisfactory level of efficiency.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee, department, and company business.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
  • Clean driving record with no more than three (3) moving violations within the past 5 years; no more than two (2) preventable, at-fault accidents within the past 5 years
    • No impaired driving convictions within the past five (5) years and no charges currently pending

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates Degree from a two year college or technical/trade school preferred
  • Broader NetSuite experience beyond the FSM module.
  • Experience in the carwash industry and/or cleaning chemicals business, preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the overall departmental function.
