Job Summary:

A leader in the composite manufacturing industry, Impact Guard currently has an opening for the Operations Technician position in its Pittsburgh, PA location. This role will be responsible for operating all equipment on the workstation. The position offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including medical, dental, vision, holidays, and 401K.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Equipment operator experience- internal or similar manufacturing using computer controlled automated equipment
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Forklift operation
  • Team Player
  • Ability to work with cross functional team

Experience: Experience working in an industrial and/or manufacturing or plastics processing environment is preferred.

Education/Qualification: High school diploma is required; associate degree or technical training certificate is preferred.

Unusual Physical Requirement: This position will require standing and walking for an extended period of time, wearing protective gear, handling and moving objects - up to 50 pounds, inspecting equipment and materials.

Job Requirements:

Must be able to work 12 Hour shifts either day or night: 3 days on - 2 days off -2 days on- 3 days off.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand and operate various machines in the facility.
  • Follow procedures for proper startup and shutdown of equipment.
  • Verify all equipment and tooling are in proper location and operational at the start and end of each shift.
  • Adjust operational parameters to achieve production and quality requirements.
  • Set up various production runs according to work order specifications.
  • Coordinate shift changes with other shifts to ensure the seamless operation of the workstation without interruption.
  • Comply with safety procedures and personal protective equipment requirements.
