Job description

SB Specialty Metals is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented professional to join our team in Troy, MI. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within a stable and growing company in the steel industry.

This position offers hands-on training, exposure to multiple areas of the business, and the opportunity to grow professionally within a fast-paced industrial environment. We are looking for someone who enjoys staying organized, supporting a team, learning new processes, and taking initiative.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the sales team
  • Assist with customer service and account support
  • Process credit and collections activities
  • Issue purchase orders for MRO purchasing
  • Support Accounts Payable functions including invoice vouchering
  • Perform data entry for billing, inventory, and internal systems
  • Assist with general office operations and special projects as needed

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous administrative, clerical, or accounts payable/receivable experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional communication and customer interaction skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Steel industry or manufacturing experience is a plus, but not required
