Job description

Hourly Pay Range:
$26.61 - $39.92 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
Position Highlights:
  • Position: Operations Support Coordinator
  • Location: Elmhurst Cancer Center - Elmhurst, IL (may also float to Plainfield and Edward-Naperville locations as needed)
  • Full Time | 40 hours/week
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am - 4:30pm - no weekends or holidays.

What you will do:
  • Under minimal supervision, responsible for performing insurance verification, providing patient financial counseling and performing routine audits of accounts in an effort to identify opportunities for accurate charging practices.
  • Reviewing daily oncology charging patterns and maintaining accuracy of charges.
  • Serving as a resource for billing and reimbursement questions.

What you will need:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Associate's Degree in Health Information Technology or related field, preferred.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in oncology prior authorization and previous insurance and managed care experience, required.
  • Oncology and radiation oncology billing/reimbursement experience, preferred.
  • Insurance knowledge of managed care, Medicare and Medicaid, preferred.
