Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD) has an immediate need for a Deputy Program Operations Manager (POM) for our LADS business in Tucson, AZ. This is a key role leading an Operations Integrated Product Team to ensure successful execution of Coyote Blk 3+ production. Successful candidate will assist in driving the overall management of all phases of production. Duties also include, but are not limited to: the overall management and coordination of recurring and non-recurring manufacturing resources to support program requirements, lead Operations through IPDS Gate processes, developing Manufacturing Plans, support EAC reporting requirements, Risk and Opportunity management, primary interface across all operation value streams, lead Operations role for implementing engineering change orders, presenting reports to the Customer, Sr. Directors and VP level representing his/her IPT team and operations performance.

What You Will Do

  • Apply manufacturing engineering skillsets across the extended value stream to resolve constraints and improve process and product designs.

  • Leverage knowledge and technical skills to influence business decisions and results from new designs to recurring production.

  • Design, control, and improve the producibility of products through collaboration with a multi-disciplined team.

  • Lead and coordinate projects, efforts and improvements across the extended value streams.

  • Act as the manufacturing and producibility authority within the program.

  • Identify and resolve constraints across the program.

  • Participate in corrective action investigations.

  • Provide technical input and peer review to engineering design changes.

  • Provide technical guidance and problem solving to factory engineers.

  • Managing the coordination and execution of program schedules with Global Supply Chain Management, Subcontracts, Engineering and other functional areas.

  • Support Manufacturing Operations strategy and utilize CORE best practices.

  • Lead the effort to develop and implement cost reduction initiatives for both recurring efforts and new business opportunities.

  • Coordinate Operations bids for new development and production proposals.

  • Generate production plans, make/where plans, and write manufacturing sections of technical proposals.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.

  • Experience with MRP systems such as SAP, PRISM or equivalent.

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Lean Manufacturing and Management experience.

  • Strong team building skills necessary to lead a multi-disciplined team.

  • Experience with new product introductions and the design hand off to manufacturing process with focus on manufacturability.

  • Experience developing manufacturing strategies and cost proposals.

  • Knowledge of and experience with IPDS (Integrated Product Development System) processes.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
