Who we are looking for: We are seeking a curious and experienced professional to serve as part of their most trusted advisor team at SSC. The Tax + Advisory Services Manager position will be a key leadership position within our Norman market and will be an active participant in our management team and companywide tax team. You will provide proactive tax consulting + planning, compliance reviews, and in-depth research services for a diverse group of clients and industries. You will also help recruit, mentor, and develop the talent within the tax + advisory services team.
Qualifications you should have: Candidates for this position should possess their CPA certification. You should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in preparing corporate, partnership, trust, and individual tax returns in addition to having supervisory experience. Superior verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal and customer relationship skills are a must. You should be involved in the community and have the ability to develop additional business and services for our clients.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
  • Licensed CPA in good standing is required.
  • At least 5 years of recent public accounting experience with an emphasis in tax.
  • 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Industry experience in real estate, construction, or manufacturing is considered a plus.
  • Requires reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Proficient in corporate, individual and partnership taxation
• Previous experience supervising and training Staff and Seniors preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational techniques are required
• Must be highly motivated and experienced in managing multiple client engagements
• Must begin to attain visibility and recognition within their industry specialization
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Outlook, CoPilot)
• Preference given for experience with UltraTax, FixedAssetsCS, PlannerCS
