*This position is contingent upon contract award*Position Summary
Provides entry level support to technology transfer, commercialization, and intellectual property (IP) activities within a federal or DoD program environment. Assists senior specialists in evaluating technologies, coordinating agreements, and supporting processes that transition research outcomes into operational use or commercial applications.
Essential Functions
  • Support the review and assessment of emerging technologies for transition, licensing, or commercialization potential.
  • Assist in preparing technology transfer documentation, including agreements, reports, and compliance materials.
  • Track IP portfolios, invention disclosures, and technology maturation activities.
  • Conduct basic market research, data analysis, and stakeholder coordination to support technology transition decisions.
  • Help facilitate communication between researchers, program offices, legal teams, and industry partners.
  • Maintain records, databases, and workflow tracking tools related to technology transfer activities.
  • Support meetings, briefings, and outreach events related to technology transition initiatives.

Required Qualifications
  • US Citizen
  • 3 years of relevant experience in technology transfer, business operations, research support, or related fields.
  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, science, engineering, technology management, or related discipline.
  • Foundational understanding of IP management, research commercialization, or technology transition processes.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting federal or DoD research and development programs.
  • Familiarity with Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADAs), licensing processes, or technology readiness assessments.
  • Exposure to innovation ecosystems, tech scouting, or industry engagement activities.
