This interdenominational Christian ministry provides emergency relief assistance, clean water, medicines, educational materials, homes, support for orphans and the elders, skills training and micro-enterprise development assistance. "Join us in our mission to serve the poorest of the poor."

Overall Responsibility:

The Benevolent Program Manager is responsible for the strategic coordination, implementation, and day-to-day management of the Benevolent Program across multiple countries, ensuring alignment with the mission, values, and operational standards of Food For The Poor.

  • Develop and maintain tools, procedures, workflows, and documentation standards that support accountability, compliance, and effective program delivery.
  • Contribute to the development of policies, guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures related to benevolent assistance programs.

Program Management and Case Coordination

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Benevolent Program in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and established Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for beneficiaries, in-country partners, and internal stakeholders regarding benevolent cases and program activities.
  • Coordinate with partners to identify, assess, and validate potential benevolent cases, ensuring all required supporting documentation is obtained and maintained.
  • Prepare detailed case summaries, proposed plans of care, implementation timelines, and cost estimates for review and approval.
  • Present proposed cases and recommendations to the Benevolent Program Committee for evaluation and approval.
  • Monitor approved cases throughout implementation to ensure activities are completed within approved timelines, scope, and budgets.
  • Maintain regular communication with beneficiaries, partners, and service providers to monitor progress and address emerging needs or challenges.
  • Coordinate project closeout activities at the conclusion of the approved implementation period.
  • Collaborate with the Fundraising Division by providing case information, impact stories, reports, and supporting materials to facilitate fundraising initiatives and donor engagement.
  • Conduct field visits and travel, as needed, to supervise and monitor benevolent cases and program activities.

Medical Coordination and Institutional Partnerships

  • Develop and maintain a directory of medical facilities, hospitals, and specialized institutions capable of supporting beneficiary medical needs.
  • Identify medical institutions and providers that offer grants, charitable support, discounted services, or reduced-cost treatment options.
  • Coordinate communication with healthcare providers and institutions to determine treatment plans, obtain medical estimates, and negotiate cost-effective solutions whenever possible.
  • Facilitate coordination between beneficiaries, medical facilities, in-country partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and effective treatment delivery.
  • Support the coordination of travel logistics, medical appointments, and related case management activities when applicable.

Financial Oversight and Program Administration

  • Support fund allocation processes and ensure appropriate tracking and utilization of benevolent program funds.
  • Track, monitor, and reconcile all expenditures associated with benevolent cases and program activities.
  • Process and coordinate disbursements, reimbursements, debits, credits, and other program-related financial transactions in compliance with organizational procedures.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation for all benevolent projects and expenditures.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, issuance of gift cards, and other approved case-related expenditures.
  • Ensure responsible stewardship, transparency, and accountability in the management of benevolent program resources.

  • Provide regular program status updates and performance reports to the International Programs Director.
  • Prepare quarterly financial analysis reports and annual program reports detailing benevolent projects, funding utilization, and program impact.
