Job description

ADVANCE YOUR CAREER. ADVANCE THE WORLD.
At AMD, we believe technology can change lives for the better. It can heal us, entertain us, and make us more connected, productive, and understanding of the world around us. And we're looking for talent who feel the same: people who want to leave the planet better than they found it, those who don't shy away from humanity's challenges but are determined to help solve them.
AMD is powering the next generation of supercomputing, high-performance computing, cloud, and AI. Whether you're designing next-gen processors, enabling AI breakthroughs, or creating go-to-market plans, every role at AMD contributes to something bigger - technology that moves the world forward.
THE ROLE
AMD is seeking a highly analytical and technically skilled Program Manager to support business systems, finance operations, engineering operations, reporting, and digital solution development across the organization. This role combines financial acumen, program management expertise, and systems knowledge to drive operational efficiency, improve visibility into key business metrics, and develop scalable tools that empower decision-making.
The successful candidate will partner closely with engineering, finance, and business stakeholders to deliver dashboards, reporting solutions, workflow automation, and AI-enabled capabilities while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of critical financial, project, and operational data. This individual will play a key role in supporting engineering program reviews, project tracking, financial planning activities, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
THE PERSON
The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of business operations, technology, engineering, and data analytics. They are detail-oriented, highly organized, and passionate about improving processes through automation, digital transformation, and AI-driven solutions. Success in this role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into practical, scalable solutions.
The successful candidate brings experience with business systems, financial operations, dashboard development, and project tracking, along with the ability to leverage AI technologies to generate insights, automate manual processes, and enhance operational effectiveness. An understanding of the semiconductor industry and the chip development business is important, as this person will work closely with engineers and need to understand that world.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead business systems, finance operations, and engineering operational processes utilizing SAP, Ariba, Excel, and other enterprise platforms while supporting budget planning, forecasting, spend management, procurement activities, and project tracking.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reporting frameworks, workflow automation, web-based tools, and AI-enabled solutions that improve business visibility, operational efficiency, and decision-making across engineering and business organizations.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver actionable insights, executive communications, and program review materials while ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and governance of financial, operational, and project-related data.
  • Drive continuous process improvement through digital transformation initiatives, scalable business intelligence solutions, best practice development, and user enablement.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Experience supporting business operations, finance operations, engineering operations, or program management functions within a technology-focused organization.
  • Strong proficiency with SAP, Ariba, Excel, dashboard development, reporting tools, data analytics, and business intelligence platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Power Apps, or similar technologies.
  • Knowledge of web development, workflow automation, collaboration platforms, and AI technologies used to improve reporting, streamline manual processes, and generate business insights.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, procurement, spend management, financial reporting, and project tracking, combined with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in business intelligence, enterprise systems, analytics, AI, or project/program management are a plus.
