Project Manager

Job Overview

Delta Fabricators is seeking an experienced and organized Project Manager to oversee workforce operations within shipyard, industrial, construction, and maintenance environments. This role is responsible for managing labor contracts, coordinating staffing efforts, supporting workforce development, overseeing employee onboarding and compliance, tracking workforce performance, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and executive leadership across multiple project locations.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects, personnel, and client relationships in a fast-paced environment. This position requires frequent travel throughout Texas, Louisiana, and other project locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee workforce operations across multiple project sites.
  • Coordinate employee onboarding, documentation, compliance, and workforce deployment.
  • Track employee hours, attendance, productivity, and workforce utilization.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between field personnel, clients, and executive management.
  • Monitor existing labor contracts and identify opportunities for growth and expansion.
  • Evaluate staffing requirements and workforce needs for current and upcoming projects.
  • Assist in securing new contracts and project opportunities.
  • Support business development initiatives and client relationship management activities.
  • Coordinate operations throughout Houston, Corpus Christi, Brownsville, McAllen, Louisiana, and other assigned regions.
  • Develop workforce plans and labor allocation strategies.
  • Lead team coordination efforts to maintain productivity and project performance.
  • Address employee concerns and resolve workplace issues professionally and effectively.
  • Monitor labor costs and project budgets to maintain profitability.
  • Collaborate with management to develop project schedules and workforce forecasts.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and compliance with company standards.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, safety policies, and client requirements.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
  • Resolve operational, labor, and project-related challenges as they arise.
  • Prepare reports and provide updates to executive leadership regarding workforce performance, project status, and staffing requirements.
  • Support recruitment efforts by identifying workforce needs and assisting with candidate selection and onboarding processes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and business partners.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in project management, workforce coordination, industrial operations, construction, staffing, or related industries.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects and field operations simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience managing workforce schedules, budgets, labor planning, and project timelines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees, clients, subcontractors, and executive leadership.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Ability to travel frequently as required.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field.
  • Experience working within shipyard, industrial, refinery, petrochemical, fabrication, maintenance, or construction environments.
  • Knowledge or experience working with H-2B workforce programs.
  • Experience with contract administration and contract negotiations.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards.
  • PMP Certification or other project management certifications are a plus.
