Description

The Program Manager, Strategic Operations provides project management and support in the development, implementation, and evaluation of strategic operations activities.

  • Strategic operations activities include but are not limited to administrative, clinical, and/or operational projects, facilities planning and operational transitions, service line and program planning, and business development
  • The incumbent will play a key role in operationalizing initiatives critical to short and long term strategies
  • Manages multiple strategic operations projects from planning to execution which includes but is not limited to: development of project charter, creating project goals, scope, current and future state analysis, financial projections, implementation plan(s), and the evaluation of the effectiveness of actions/programs implemented
  • Collaborates with internal and external constituents including hospital and system executive leaders, senior clinical and administrative leaders, clinical staff, faculty, and external stakeholders
  • Works with engineers and other areas to project manage key strategic initiatives and/or other process improvement related projects
  • Extracts and organizes data in order to perform data analysis for support and completion of strategic operations projects
  • Identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Areas of analysis span several topics and are not restricted to one functional area
  • Utilizes meaningful project management tools and methodologies to manage strategic operations projects and ensure milestones are achieved while scope and budget are maintained
  • Ensures effective communication for completion of projects, providing timely follow-up on deliverables
  • Creates presentations and reports on project status and progress
  • Performs other related duties as required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • Masters degree strongly preferred
  • Three (3) years of demonstrated project management work experience leading projects
  • Experience successfully managing multiple large, complex projects from beginning to completion according to scope, budget, and timeline
  • Knowledge of project management techniques and proficiency with project management tools
  • Advanced analytical, organizational, problem solving and interpersonal skills required
  • Project Management
  • Professional certification or equivalent and/or LEAN experience preferred
  • Equivalent combinations of education/experience may be considered
