Overview

The Operations Coordinator supports day-to-day operations of the facilities. The position provides coordination to part-time staff with building policy and procedures.

This role pays an hourly rate of $18.00-$22.00

Benefits for Full-Time roles: Health, Dental and Vision Insurance, 401(k) Savings Plan, 401(k) matching, and Paid Time Off (vacation days, sick days, and 11 holidays).

 

This position will remain open until November 13, 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Assists Director of Operations in the overall daily coordination and maintenance of the facilities' operations.  
  • Plan, coordinate, and review the work plan for all event changeovers; meet with staff to identify and resolve problems.
  • Provide or coordinate staff training; work with employees to correct deficiencies.
  • Coordinate and review the work plan for facility maintenance and operations.
  • Coordinate labor hours for staff and temporary workers. Report labor allocations to Director of Finance.
  • Coordinate facility arrangements and monitor the work of contractors, including equipment rental and borrowing city/county equipment. Report any issues to Director of Operations immediately.
  • Conduct regular safety checks and maintain safety logs for equipment use.
  • Order supplies and materials for maintenance programs within budget guidelines; receive and maintain supplies.
  • Maintain hazardous materials communication program, material safety data sheets, and required records and permits; maintain knowledge of changes in pertinent Federal, State and Local regulations.
  • Develop and maintain an accurate record-keeping system, including equipment maintenance and inventory logs.
Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of prior experience in an operations position in an arena, convention center, or public assembly facility with knowledge of setup/housekeeping and event coordination, including progressive supervisory responsibility, is preferred.
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) required. Associate's degree from an accredited college/university in a related field (Facility Management, Engineering, Sports Management, etc.) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with OSHA requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills required, including excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and an extended number of consecutive days.
