We're seeking a Plant Performance Manager who's ready to be part of a company committed to formulating everyday success for every customer through innovative, reliable products used to adhere, seal, and protect at every level of the building envelope.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Plant Performance Manager is an integral part of the plant management team. As such, this position requires direct involvement in both plant operations and finance activities and initiatives as required. Duties include overall responsibility for accuracy and timeliness of financial and operational management information to be used in reporting financial results as well as managing the facility. Said person will be responsible for plant financial reporting, costing and developing the annual cost budget.


WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

Strategic Leadership & Governance

  • Performance Reviews: Organize and lead the monthly Plant Performance Review with Senior Leadership, translating financial data into an actionable operational narrative.
  • Financial Coaching: Act as a financial mentor to plant management, supporting and educating newly hired or promoted managers on how to read, understand, and influence their financials.
  • Capacity & S&OP Alignment: Collaborate with Commercial and Procurement teams on the annual sales budget, and partner with plant management to develop accurate production capacity requirements.

Financial Analysis & Standard Costing

  • Cost Center Architecture: Implement and optimize adequate cost center structures to enable clear visibility and fast, targeted corrective actions.
  • Standard Cost Maintenance: Maintain precise standard costing systems, including developing machine rates and standard salary rates per cost center and site.
  • Deep-Dive Manufacturing Accounting: Leverage deep experience with Bill of Materials (BOMs), Production Routings, Lot Tracking, and overall product costing to ensure accurate inventory valuation and margin analysis.
  • Financial Evaluation: Analyze spending trends and variances to budget, preparing accurate capital projectjustifications (CapEx), tracking spending together with the project Manager, and monitoring project ROI (after project completion)

Operational Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • KPI Reporting: Prepare comprehensive monthly plant KPI reports, track the progress of continuous improvement/cost- saving projects, and highlight deviations.
  • Variance Mitigation: Lead production and raw material variance reviews, partnering with the Plant Manager to implement immediate actions that reduce unfavorable variances.
  • Operational Insight: Provide deep, data-driven insights to operations on critical floor metrics, including scrap, Cost of Quality (CoQ), labor efficiency, inventory fluctuations, and material obsolescence.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.
  • Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Controlling
  • 5-10 years in a controlling position in a sealant, coatings or paint industry manufacturing environment
  • Microsoft Dynamics AX, D365, SAP or any other mayor ERP experience preferred
  • Experience with financial and operations analysis in the areas describe above

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
  • Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
