An Operations Manager is one who consistently demonstrates our core values, embraces the Chick-fil-A culture and has a servant's heart. They have a passion for people and serving others, have strong character, take initiative and work with a sense of urgency at all times. Our Operations Managers are responsible for supporting senior leadership in executing daily operations and keeping team members accountable for each component of Operational Excellence and our Recipe for Service. An Operations Manager's two main areas of focus are completing tasks so that the restaurant runs effectively, and coaching/developing team members and shift leaders. Operations Managers lead by example and set the tone that others will follow.

Operations Manager Responsibilities:

Food Quality and Safety

  • Ensure all food is prepared according to Chick-fil-A standards
  • Monitor holding times and maintain quality standards
  • Verify proper cooling, labeling, dating, and storage procedures
  • Ensure equipment is cleaned and sanitized according to standards
  • Maintain compliance with health department and Chick-fil-A food safety requirements
  • Food cost management

Team Leadership

  • Lead and coach kitchen team members throughout the shift
  • Provide real time coaching and accountability
  • Address performance concerns and recognize strong performance
  • Support training of new team members and leaders
  • Foster a productive and positive team culture
  • Participate operationally in day-to-day activities in high-volume, fast-paced Restaurant
  • Offer immediate and respectful response to Guest's needs
  • Assist in training of new hires, set the tone for a shift, and act as a role model for our team
  • Be a friendly, encouraging leader
  • Close, lead shifts, key holder
  • Excellent communication skills
Operational Execution
  • Manage kitchen flow during peak periods.
  • Monitor speed of service and ticket times.
  • Ensure adequate product levels and production planning.
  • Coordinate with Front of House leadership to meet guest demand.
  • Prior experience as shift lead, crew lead, supervisor, team lead, restaurant manager, restaurant assistant manager is not required but is preferred
