Job description

Eaton's IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Operations Manager. This is a full time on-site position at our Kings Mountain, NC manufacturing facility. Relocation support is available to those within the US/PR.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $130000 - $190000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

The Operations Manager oversees all aspects of production operations for Kings Mountain, NC. This role leads the manufacturing team to meet production schedules, ensure product quality, control costs, and uphold employee safety-aligned with key performance metrics. The manager collaborates across departments to fulfill customer requirements, drive operational performance, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. By effectively leveraging resources and inspiring teams, the Operations Manager fosters a high-performance culture that supports financial goals, employee engagement, and strategic success.
Eaton announced, on June 11, 2026, the intent to combine its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) with a new company. We expect to complete this process by the end of the first half of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the transaction closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.
What you'll do:
  • Manages and directs all manufacturing and clutch activities to ensure completion of customer requirements.
  • Assesses performance indicators and takes appropriate actions to ensure schedule, cost and quality goals are met.
  • Assures policies, procedures, and other documentation are followed to ensure consistent and compliant manufactured product.
  • Provides leadership and commitment in support of continuous improvements in quality, productivity and delivery performance through the deployment of continuous improvement framework.
  • Assures that Environmental, Health, and Safety issues are addressed considering local regulations, Eaton policy, and good corporate citizenship.
  • Evaluates operational performance of the group in order to facilitate performance management, merit promotions, job transfers, etc.
  • Develops budgets and resource plans, and monitors performance, to achieve product delivery and cost requirements.
  • Coordinates and assists with plant initiatives, participating on teams in order to drive best practices across enterprise.
  • Achieve labor productivity, reduction of overtime and lead cost reduction efforts to drive factory cost reductions.

Qualifications:
Required Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution required
  • Minimum (5) five years experience in manufacturing and/or manufacturing operations
  • Minimum (2) two years experience managing production, continuous improvement and/or supply chain management projects
  • Minimum (1) one year experience with continuous improvement/ lean experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Three (3) years or higher of prior management experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Leadership, coaching and influence management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Understanding of manufacturing technologies and processes
  • Understanding of Supply Chain Management operational concepts (production planning, scheduling, purchasing, supplier selection, inventory control, logistics, stockroom operations, and shipping/receiving)

Skills:
  • Can identify linkages between functions, impact of actions on functional decisions downstream, and how multiple functions work within a value stream.
  • Strong interpersonal and planning skills with a proven ability to lead change through both direct and indirect (influencing) abilities.
  • Ability to effectively communicate to different levels of the organization.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong analytical skills and understanding of problem-solving tools/methods (Six Sigma, 8D, etc.), goal setting, and performance tracking.
  • Ability to demonstrate proven experience in process development, implementation, and sustainability.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills - both verbal and written.
