Job Profile: JP00706
Position Summary: The Operations Manager will lead and manage the facility supporting production, distribution, safety, sales, quality, delivery, and cost. Strong focus on Team Member engagement while maintaining a growth mindset with the ability to scale the business to meet market demands. In alignment with the shared vision of Clayton Supply, the Operations Manager should be able to effectively champion initiatives to drive productivity through commercial, operational, and financial excellence.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Ability to lead large groups of people and focus on developing a culture of accountability working as a team.
• Strict adherence and compliance with quality assurance requirements.
• Work with internal and external Clayton staff to meet organizational requirements
• Be safety minded and ability to put Safety 1st - must adhere to strict safety rules and guidelines.
• Review production performance and drive training opportunities of production personnel, as necessary.
• Effectively communicate and lead Team to meet/maintain vision for success
• Direct teams effectively in each department to ensure timelines and production priorities are met.
• Provide sound leadership, coaching, mentoring, and direction for personnel development and team member engagement.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within production processes to improve overall safety, quality, reduce lead-times, and lower cost.
• Monitors and measures costs of operations by using Lean Manufacturing methods, 5S, Kaizen, etc. applications where necessary.
• Track and communicate to the Team Members and Senior Leadership the KPIs daily as it pertains to production.
• Review the P&L statement and make operational changes leading to positive impacts on financials.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in business (preferred) or Operations Management or related field needed
• Minimum 5 years' relevant leadership experience
• Previous experience within cabinet manufacturing; preferred
• Experience with ERP/Oracle is a plus
• Experience with Project Planning/Management, Capex and budgeting
• Working knowledge of P&L statements
• Experience with Quality Programs and Root Cause Analysis - i.e. ISO9001, 8D 5 Why
• Experience in high-speed manufacturing environment preferred
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
• Microsoft Word, Excel, as well as basic math skills
• Must be detail-oriented and can multi-task effectively
• Ability to read and understand building specifications greatly desired
• Demonstrated adherence to safety protocols
• Ability to adapt quickly and make sound decisions in a changing, fast-paced work environment
