Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates service center activities by assigning responsibilities, supervising, and managing Area Managers and CSR's
  • Planning routes
  • Consolidating pickup/delivery appointments, load factor, driver productivity, and safety reports
  • Reduce controllable operating cost
  • Communicate with customers and CSR's regarding late outbound deliveries and pickups and appointments
  • Update Area Managers on inbound freight
  • Provide coverage for team members in their absence
  • Liaise between local Operations, Dock and Linehaul departments
  • Process freight, appointment, and equipment reports daily
  • Manage tractor and trailer equipment onsite
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Qualification/Skills:

  • HS Diploma or Equivalent
  • 3+ years of LTL Transportation/Dock Experience
  • 5+ years of Management/Supervisor Experience
  • Basic Computer Skills, Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, etc.
  • AS400 experience is preferred, but not required
  • Strong Customer Service Skills
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills
  • Ability to solve problems
  • Must be able to interact well with others
  • Must be able to work independently, or in a team setting
  • Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities
