OPERATIONS MANAGER

Inventory · Logistics · NetSuite

Department: Operations | Reports To: General Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking a results-driven Operations Manager to lead and optimize our inventory management, logistics, and supply chain functions. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in NetSuite ERP and a proven track record of driving operational efficiency, reducing costs, and building high-performing teams. This role serves as a critical link between warehouse operations, procurement, finance, and fulfillment — ensuring our business runs seamlessly from purchase order to customer delivery.

Key Responsibilities


Inventory Management

•       Own end-to-end inventory control processes, including cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliation of variances.

•       Maintain optimal stock levels by developing and monitoring reorder points, safety stock thresholds, and demand forecasts.

•       Lead initiatives to reduce inventory shrinkage, obsolescence, and carrying costs while ensuring high fill rates.

•       Establish and enforce inventory accuracy standards; target and maintain 99%+ inventory accuracy.

•       Partner with procurement and finance teams on inventory valuation, COGS analysis, and month-end close activities.


Logistics & Supply Chain

•       Oversee inbound and outbound logistics operations, including carrier management, freight negotiations, and delivery performance.

•       Develop and maintain vendor relationships; evaluate supplier performance against cost, quality, and lead time KPIs.

•       Manage 3PL and warehouse partnerships, including SLA compliance and contract renewals.

•       Identify and implement process improvements to reduce transit times, freight costs, and order fulfillment errors.

•       Ensure compliance with all relevant shipping regulations, customs requirements, and trade compliance standards.


NetSuite ERP Administration & Optimization

•       Serve as the operational super-user and subject matter expert for NetSuite, including Inventory, Procurement, WMS, and Order Management modules.

•       Configure and maintain NetSuite workflows, saved searches, custom reports, and dashboards to support operations KPIs.

•       Partner with IT and NetSuite administrators on system enhancements, integrations, and new module rollouts.

•       Train and support team members on NetSuite best practices; develop SOPs and job aids for system usage.

•       Lead data integrity initiatives to ensure accurate master data (items, vendors, locations, BOMs) within NetSuite.


Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

•       Lead, mentor, and develop a team of warehouse, logistics, order processing, and inventory staff; set clear performance expectations.

•       Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and Finance to align operations with business priorities and customer commitments.

•       Prepare and present regular operational performance reports to senior leadership.

•       Drive a culture of continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.

•       Manage departmental budget; and identify cost-saving opportunities.


QualificationsRequired

•       5+ years of progressive experience in operations, supply chain, and/or logistics management.

•       3+ years of hands-on NetSuite experience with Inventory Management, Procurement, and/or WMS modules — required.

•       Demonstrated success managing inventory accuracy and logistics operations at scale.

•       Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, NetSuite reporting, and data-driven decision making.

•       Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

•       Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or related field.


Preferred

•       NetSuite certification (Administrator, ERP Consultant, or SuiteFoundation) strongly preferred.

•       Experience with NetSuite WMS, Advanced Inventory, or Multi-Location Inventory.

•       Familiarity with EDI, 3PL integrations, or e-commerce fulfillment platforms.

•       APICS CPIM, CSCP, or similar supply chain certification.

•       Lean, Six Sigma Green Belt, or equivalent process improvement training.

•       Experience in a high-growth, omnichannel retail or distribution environment.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

•       Office-based with regular presence in warehouse and distribution environments.

•       In office Monday-Friday. 

•       Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally; extended periods of walking or standing in warehouse settings.

•       Must be able to work flexible hours during peak seasons, quarter-end, and inventory periods.
