The successful candidate will bring significant manufacturing leadership experience from a heavy industrial, metals, steel, foundry, mining, continuous-process or similarly demanding production environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, coach and develop supervisors, frontline leaders and production employees.
  • Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with established health, safety and environmental standards.
  • Deliver production targets while maintaining appropriate standards for quality, cost and operational performance.
  • Work closely with maintenance, engineering and other technical groups to improve equipment reliability and production uptime.
  • Identify production bottlenecks and implement improvements to increase throughput, efficiency and consistency.
  • Monitor operational KPIs and use production data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across equipment, processes, labour utilization and workflow.

  • Strong understanding of production, maintenance, equipment reliability, safety and continuous improvement.
  • Experience within steel, metals manufacturing, foundry operations, mining, high-temperature processing, rolling, casting or another continuous-process operation would be highly desirable.

  • Comfortable working in a demanding, hands-on industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Post-secondary education in engineering, manufacturing, operations, business or a related discipline is considered an asset.
WHY CONSIDER THIS OPPORTUNITY?

This is an opportunity to take on a significant operational leadership role within a well-established Canadian industrial manufacturer. The successful candidate will have considerable influence over plant performance, employee development, continuous improvement and the long-term success of the operation.
