Job Description

The Spa and Salon Assistant Sales Manager oversees all Spa and Salon programs varying from smaller wedding parties (under 15 guests) to larger convention /or meeting groups (as many as 200+ appointments). This position is also responsible for working closely with both departments and the call center to enhance department revenues by implementing training and incentive programs along with acting as department MOD when needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Serves as the hotel representative to prospective customers who are interested in spa and salon services/program.
  • Responds to sales inquiries, initiates new sales, prospects and qualifies leads.
  • Solicits potential clients; conducts site visits. 
  • Determines rates, prepares proposals and negotiates contracts. 
  • Assist with researching, evaluating and implementing customized programs to promote facilities and profitability in all areas of the spa and salon.
  • Works closely with Spa and Salon Receptionists and Call Center to develop programs and incentives to increase department revenues.
  • Clearly communicate all treatments and services as well as policies and pricing for the Spa, Salon and Fitness. 
  • Work directly with in-house conference and sales coordinators to develop programs and monitor their progress.
  • Achieve annual sales goals as outlined by Spa Director.
  • Greets groups in a friendly, courteous manner, providing information as necessary.
  • Understands and well versed in the resort, hotel features and services including all outlets, hours of operation, activities and events available to guests, and can speak positively and intelligently about the resort. 
  • Responds to special requests of guests, as well as guest complaints and inquiries in a calm, prompt, courteous manner.
  • Listening to guest's concerns, and effectively resolves issues, or directs issues to the appropriate department for resolution.
  • Prepares collateral and distributes as needed.
  • Promotes exceptional guest relations, in order to achieve the desired level of guest service and satisfaction.
  • Conducts tours and site inspections of Spas, Salons and Fitness, as needed. 
  • Attend and prepare all communications for pre-cons with groups that have spa or salon programs
  • Accomplish and oversee the booking and billing of all services and programs. And settle any disputes as needed.
  • Held accountable for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
  • Facilitates the flow of information throughout the department by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings and conveying accurate information to employees.
  • Acts as Spa Manager on Duty when necessary.
  • Assists the Spa Directors and Assistant Directors with special projects, as needed.
  • Responsible for maintaining the Wynn standards of service to guests and coworkers at all times. 
  • Attends required training classes and incorporates knowledge gained into daily work practices.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in managing multiple priorities simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must have problem negotiation, problem solving & decision making skills.
  • Must possess outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills, as well as excellent attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work proficiently with deadlines and disciplined to work without constant guidance and supervision.
  • Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations. Ability to decipher various reports and create reports upon request.
  • Must be available to work all shifts.
  • Candidate must be able to work efficiently within a team environment. 
  • Must be able to work effectively in stressful, high-pressure situations.
  • Must possess a positive, "whatever it takes" attitude.
  • Candidate must be well groomed and professional.
  • Must have an open mind and willingness to learn new processes, concepts, and ways of approaching analysis.
  • Must have strong customer service skills. Ability to deal with problems involving guests and operational issues maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Candidate must maintain the highest levels of confidentiality regarding guests and staff. 
  • Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Combination of education equivalent to graduation from high school (High school diploma) or any other combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Experience in the Spa/Wellness industry is preferred, but not required. 
  • Requires the ability to operate multiple telephone lines. 
  • Must provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers/guests. 
  • Candidate must communicate fluently in written and spoken English. Additional foreign language a plus.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
