Job description

Position Summary
The Operations Manager leads day-to-day fulfillment and distribution operations at the 500,000-square-foot BRS Groveport facility, supporting more than 100 associates. This role ensures customer requirements are met safely, accurately, on time, and within budget. In partnership with the Warehouse Manager (GM), the Operations Manager provides direction to front-line supervisors and hourly associates while helping shape a culture of respect, accountability, continuous improvement, and success.

2pm-11pm

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct supervisors and associates to ensure orders are processed accurately and shipped on time.
  • Establish, monitor, and improve productivity, accuracy, quality, and customer service standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement across departmental processes, procedures, and management practices.
  • Ensure associates are trained in safe work practices and partner with EHS to promote a strong safety culture.
  • Develop supervisors and leads to coach, counsel, motivate, and manage employees effectively, supporting strong performance, productivity, and morale.
  • Promote clear communication and teamwork, and ensure associates receive effective on-the-job training.
  • Communicate and consistently apply company administrative and HR policies, including attendance and corrective-action procedures.
  • Develop and monitor operational policies and procedures to support efficient processing and compliance with customer service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Coordinate with internal and external partners to deliver an excellent customer experience.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of five years of management experience in a complex warehousing, distribution, or production environment.
  • Current knowledge of distribution and operations systems, including warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanning, automated packaging, LTL, parcel and FTL shipping, powered industrial vehicles, and conveyance systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, and multiple forms of electronic communication.
  • Demonstrated success in employee development, project management, and continuous improvement.
  • Proven initiative, leadership, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of safety-culture development, OSHA requirements, regulatory compliance, and incident-investigation procedures.
  • Ability to travel occasionally, generally no more than ten days per year.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Fluency in Spanish or French.
  • Experience with Koerber One (Formerly HighJump) WMS or 6 River Systems.
