As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to join our team and drive our relationships with hyperscale clients to new heights.

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the execution of all strategic account projects across the US East Region. This role includes managing a team of Area Managers and Project Managers, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Operations Manager will serve as the primary escalation point to the client, helping to grow the client relationship, solve complex issues, and ensure client satisfaction. The Operations Manager will also be responsible for financial tracking, inventory management, and building processes to improve operational efficiencies. Travel to all US East Region sites is required, with approximately 10 weeks of travel per year.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Team Management:
  • Oversee a team of Area and Project Managers dedicated to US East Region accounts, providing guidance, support, and mentorship
  • Foster a collaborative, results-driven team environment with an emphasis on professional growth and high-performance standards
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and implement improvement plans as necessary
  • Client & Stakeholder Relations:
    • Act as the primary escalation point for clients, ensuring quick resolution of issues and effective communication
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and promote business growth
    • Work with clients to understand their needs, provide regular updates, and identify opportunities for service improvements or additional services
  • Project & Operational Oversight:
    • Ensure all projects are managed effectively, meeting client specifications, timelines, and budget requirements
    • Monitor progress of active projects, ensuring that Project Managers are adhering to schedules, budgets, and quality standards
    • Support Area and Project Managers in problem-solving and solutioning when challenges arise, ensuring minimal impact on project delivery
  • Financial Tracking & Budget Oversight:
    • Oversee the financial tracking of all projects, ensuring that budgets are maintained, and any variances are addressed promptly
  • Policy Enforcement & QAQC:
    • Ensure 100% adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and client-specific requirements
    • Regularly review and audit project performance for quality assurance and continuous improvement (QAQC).
    • Provide guidance and support to Project Managers in enforcing policies and maintaining standards across all projects
  • Efficiency & Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancements, both within the team and in the broader operational workflows
    • Develop and implement solutions that improve project delivery times, reduce costs, and enhance overall service quality
    • Regularly communicate with the team to ensure alignment on new processes, improvements, and expectations
  • Training & Development:
    • Support onboarding, ongoing training, and development of Area Managers and Project Managers to ensure they have the necessary tools and skills to succeed
    • Conduct training on safety standards, policies, client expectations, and operational best practices
    • Ensure the team stays up to date on safety protocols and company initiatives
  • Inventory Management:
    • Oversee inventory tracking for all projects, ensuring that materials and equipment are available and managed efficiently
    • Ensure timely restocking and proper utilization of inventory to minimize project delays or shortages
  • Travel Requirements:
    • Travel to US East Region sites as needed, which may total approximately 10 weeks per year


Professional Experience / Qualifications:

  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in managing a team of Project Managers or similar roles, with a focus on achieving improved results, customer satisfaction, and project profitability
  • Client Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and nurture client relationships. Experience in working directly with clients to resolve issues and identify opportunities for growth
  • Project Management Expertise: In-depth knowledge of project management processes, financial tracking, and risk mitigation
  • Problem-Solving & Solutioning: Strong ability to quickly identify problems and develop effective solutions in a fast-paced environment
  • Financial Oversight: Experience in tracking budgets, managing project financials, and overseeing cost control measures
  • Process Improvement & Efficiency Building: Proven track record of driving operational improvements and implementing processes that lead to increased efficiency and effectiveness
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in project management software and tools, with the ability to communicate technical requirements effectively to internal teams and clients


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 40lbs.
  • Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipment
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time in various work environments

  • Ability to differentiate between color-coded warning signs, labels, and cables
  • Ability to work in environments with a wide variety temperature inside a facility
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, or snow
  • Capability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protection
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license for work-related travel, as required
