As a Landscape Project Engineer, you will support Project Management and Operations by working directly with tasks relating to specific landscape construction projects; maintain accurate projects records and act as an intermediary between landscape field operations, company management, and contractors.

Highlights of what our Project Engineer will do:

  • Assist in making sure all pre-construction preparations are completed prior to mobilizing on a new project.

  • Assist in preparation of submittal packages by verifying accuracy to the contract, prior to submitting to owner.

  • Preparation of RFIs (as needed) for submission to owner/developer, or General Contractor.

  • Able to produce change orders/and budgets for revised plans from contract sets of plans.

  • Able to read and interpret plans, material lists, and specifications as they pertain to projects.

  • Ensure that as-built drawings are complete and accurate. Create controller charts from as built drawings.

  • Assist post install maintenance with managing and tracking contract closeout documents, such as warranties, certifications, maintenance letters, etc.

  • Assist Project Manager with creating the job cost breakdown of a project and tracking labor and equipment on projects.

  • Assist Project Manager with maintaining the project life cycle log daily.

Minimum Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years Landscape Construction experience or 1 -2 years of Project Engineer experience.

  • Proficient with On-screen takeoff, excel, Microsoft office-word, outlook, sage or precision.

  • Good communication skills (oral and written)

  • Must be detailed-oriented and highly organized.

  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; and maintains confidentiality.

  • Prioritize and plan work activities; and uses time efficiently.

  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; and monitors own work to ensure quality.

  • Adapts to changes in the work environment; manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events in a very fast-paced environment.

  • Bachelors degree is a plus.
