SMS is hiring an Operations Manager to support our Base Infrastructure (BIM) contract at McConnell AFB, KS. This position manages IT operations and service delivery functions providing leadership for operational processes, service management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manages IT operations and service delivery functions providing leadership for operational processes, service management, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Oversees day-to-day IT operations including incident management, change management, and problem management processes
  • Manages operational teams ensuring effective service delivery and performance
  • Implements ITIL service management frameworks and Defense Enterprise Service Management processes
  • Coordinates operational activities across Network Operations Center, field support teams, and engineering functions
  • Manages operational metrics, reporting, and performance dashboards
  • Leads process improvement initiatives enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Coordinates with program management for operational planning and resource allocation
  • Manages operational budget and expenditure tracking
  • Ensures compliance with operational policies, procedures, and standards
  • Coordinates crisis response and disaster recovery operations
  • Manages vendor and subcontractor operational coordination

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of IT operations management experience
  • ITIL Foundation certification required
