The Position:
The Business Operations Analyst, reporting to the Manager, Data and Analytics, is responsible for working closely with facility management teams as a valued strategic business partner that provides data, analysis, and modeling to support decision making. Key areas of focus include labor planning, demand forecasting, support of strategic initiatives, LEAN support, inventory analysis, and financial analysis.
This position will sit either in the Dallas area or the Memphis area. Both locations will be covered by this position. The expectation is that the analyst will be on-site in his/her/their home area 2 to 3 times per week; additionally the analyst will visit the other region covered (either Dallas or Memphis) a minimum of once per quarter.
This position works Monday through Friday, from 8am-5pm. The compensation range for this position is $70K-$90K, depending on experience.
How You'll Make an Impact:
  • Own strategic initiatives within the data & analytics department and serve as a strategic business partner to regional decision makers, providing operational insights and data.
  • Build tools and reporting for facility leadership using certified Tableau data sources and SQL querying in Snowflake to support ad hoc requests and decision making.
  • Review monthly Customer and Facility P&L data to identify opportunities to increase revenue, reduce cost, and improve customer experience.
  • Model customer demand using forecasts to develop labor plans with facility leadership, and support the quarterly business review (QBR) process by building models and tools for a rolling annual forecast.
  • Support FP&A with P&L review, QBR process, and ad hoc analysis; collect and analyze financial information to track progress against financial goals and report current/expected performance.
  • Support the Pricing and Solution Design teams in pricing new business, conducting rate reviews on existing business, and monitoring newly onboarded customer performance.
  • Participate in facility-led LEAN initiatives and cost-savings mini games, and partner with regional Industrial Engineering resources on continuous improvement initiatives through data and financial analysis.
  • Conduct cost analysis to help management understand productivity and key metric impacts of business decisions; perform other ad hoc analysis and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree related to information systems, analytics, business administration, computer science, statistics, or similar field. May consider 8+ years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
  • A minimum of 3 years' related work experience
  • LEAN certifications preferred
  • Experience with visualization/reporting tools (Tableau, Qlik, PowerBI) preferred
  • Experience with utilizing SQL for ad hoc analysis a plus
  • Proficient with all Microsoft applications, especially Excel
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to balance assigned projects, daily tasks, and ad-hoc analytics requests.
  • Applies a constructive, positive attitude.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Must demonstrate high level of interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work well under pressure and problem solve across a variety of business processes.
  • Able to balance competing priorities, complex situations, and tight deadlines.
  • Strong emphasis on organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently.
