Job description

Overview
This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit's Commercial Business Units ("Spirit Commercial"). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing's three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial's core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions.
Responsibilities
Position Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of managers and represented employees in business operations.
  • Interact across all levels of the organization; effectively communicate to ensure efficient incorporation of manufacturing schedules, implement agreed upon changes; navigate difficult situations and conversations to a productive outcome.
  • Develop KPIs as required to measure organizational performance.
  • Lead team in developing solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
  • Lead the organization's budget and headcount performance.
  • Lead process standardization, adherence to process & develop process governance for the organization as required.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of experience in a management position with direct reports
  • 3+ years of experience leading and implementing projects
  • Experience in production support role
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong presentation skills
  • Strong emotional intelligence skills and professional presence to be able to work with company executives and customers
  • Background with production systems
  • Knowledge of aircraft products

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Master's degree
  • 5+ years of experience in a management role with direct reports, leading and implementing projects in a production facing environment, with a background in a production support function
  • Experience & understanding of production systems
  • Strong project management skills
  • Deep understanding of value chain requirements
  • Strong leadership and process skills

Summary Pay Range: $120,800 - $185,200
