Introduction

Overview

This intern will mainly be responsible for USD liquidity and funding coordination and provide related reports within the Treasury Department. He/she will also support the Bank's key initiatives such as Funding optimization, Broker CD issuance, and RMB business supporting. He/she should have reasonable knowledge of the liquidity and funding management operations in a commercial bank.

Responsibilities
  • Liquidity and Funding Management Support - Monitor the day-to-day operations on Nostro accounts, manage the Bank's non-USD funding and liquidity, prepare Banking Book FX Hedging Effectiveness and Stress Testing reports on a monthly basis, and prepare other non-USD related funding reports as needed.
  • RMB business support - Support the RMB liquidity and funding management team to implement and support the Bank's RMB clearing business strategy, and prepare RMB related reports on a monthly basis.
  • BCD Issuance Program Coordination. Support the Bank's BCD issuance management. Support market research, pricing and funding plan etc. Provide support to other related work based on management needs.
  • Other initiatives - Update and maintain excel templates for routine reports when needed. Work on ad-hoc tasks assigned by supervisors, such as contributing to ad-hoc reports or participating in projects.
  • Backup - Serve as backup of other team members, especially for performing daily reviews and monitoring of non-USD Nostro account for accuracy and unusual activities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • Microsoft skills (excellent with Excel formulas is required).
  • Knowledge related to liquidity and funding management is preferred.
  • Mandarin is preferred.
Pay Range

Actual salary is commensurate with candidate's relevant years of experience, skillset, education and other qualifications.
