Job description

Salary:

Commissioning Management Assistant


To support successful system turnover and operational readiness for the Ward County Data Center project, VADD will provide a dedicatedCommissioning Management Assistant (CMA). This role will work as part of the unified project team to support commissioning planning, coordination, execution tracking, and closeout activities while assisting in the management of the Owner-procured Commissioning Agent.

The Commissioning Management Assistant will help ensure that all systems are tested, verified, and documented in accordance with project requirements, design intent, and operational standards.


Scope of Responsibilities

Pre-Commissioning Planning

  • Assist in the development, review, and maintenance of commissioning plans and schedules
  • Support preparation and tracking of system readiness documentation
  • Coordinate with project teams to align commissioning activities with construction sequencing and key milestones
  • Assist in identifying potential schedule conflicts and support mitigation planning


System Testing and Verification

  • Assist with execution and coordination of functional testing activities
  • Support verification that systems perform in accordance with design specifications and Owner requirements
  • Assist in reviewing test results, deviations, and deficiencies identified during commissioning activities
  • Coordinate with contractors and project teams to track and support resolution of deficiencies through closure


Post-Commissioning and Turnover Support

  • Assist in verifying that all systems are fully operational and ready for turnover
  • Support transition from construction completion to operational readiness
  • Assist with coordination and documentation of training sessions for site personnel
  • Support development and completion of turnover documentation packages


Meetings, Deliverables, and Coordination

  • Attend and support project meetings including:
    • Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) meetings
    • Commissioning coordination meetings
    • Trade-specific coordination sessions
  • Assist in facilitating communication between commissioning agent, contractors, and project stakeholders
  • Support coordination of commissioning activities across multiple systems and trades


Commissioning Deliverables and Tracking

  • Assist with tracking and management of commissioning deliverables including:
    • Pre-functional and functional checklists
    • Test scripts and procedures
    • Deficiency and issue logs
    • Turnover documentation packages
    • System readiness milestones
  • Ensure deliverables are completed accurately and in alignment with project schedule


Performance Monitoring and Reporting

  • Assist in monitoring commissioning progress and system completion status
  • Track and report key performance metrics including:
    • Test completion and pass/fail rates
    • Outstanding deficiencies and closure timelines
    • System readiness and turnover status
  • Provide regular updates to project leadership to support schedule management and risk mitigation
