JobPurpose:

TheOperations Manager oversees the day-to-day activities of the Parts and ServiceDepartments, at the direction of the President. The Operation Managers mustexcel at delegating tasks and should demonstrate exceptional communicationskills. The Operations Manager makes sure that essential tasks are completed ontime and accurately. The Operations Manager ensures that the company's everydayactivities run smoothly and that corporate goals for profit and efficiency aremet.

EssentialDuties and Responsibilities:
  • Establish parametersto judge how efficiently and effectively the organization is operating.
  • Review andevaluate work in process.
  • Coordinate and monitor the work of the partsand service departments. Monitor performance and implement improvements. Ensurequality of work.
  • Review and utilize monthly financialstatements and data to improve profitability.
  • Prepare and control operational budgets.
  • Improve processes and policies in support oforganizational goals.
  • Formulate and implement departmental andorganizational policies and procedures to maximize output.
  • Monitor adherence to all rules, regulationsand procedures.
  • Plan the use of human resources. Organizerecruitment and placement of required staff and establish work schedules.Supervise staff. Monitor and evaluate performance.
  • Manage quality and quantity of employeeproductivity.
  • Liaison with top management.
  • Assist in the development of strategic plansfor operational activity.

OtherDuties and Responsibilities:

  • Support Branch Managers with daily operationsof the respective branch locations.
  • All other duties as assigned by management.
QualificationRequirements:
  • A college degree in business administration,commerce, management, and industrial technology, is preferred but not required.A high school diploma and/or equivalent experience may be considered in lieuofa college degree.
  • Previous experience in operations andinventory management is essential to success in this position.
  • Must demonstrate a high degree ofcommunication and organizational skills to include the ability to apply logicand constructive thinking to solve problems.
  • Knowledge of financial and accountingprinciples and practices.
  • Experience in organizational effectivenessand operations management.
  • Knowledge of human resource principles andpractices.
  • Must be effective in providing oral andwritten communications to customers, management and vendors.
  • Must be able to perform mathematicalcalculations, including decimals and percentages.
  • Must have above average computer skills withworking knowledge of a wide variety of business software and general businessprocedures. These may be acquired via secondary education or additional collegelevel courses, trade school training, or previous employment experiencerelevant to the position.
  • Has general knowledge of businessadministration with a high degree of mechanical knowledge and experience.
  • Knowledge of project management principlesand practices.
  • Information technology skills.
  • Must be able to push, pull, lift or move upto 30 pounds.
