You will receive high-caliber training, professional mentoring, and frontline, hands-on software experience directly within ourcutting-edgedevelopment environments. This fast-paced path expands your business acumen, sharpens your technicalexpertise, and prepares you to make a lasting impact on our global software organization.Actively recruiting for the next cohort and program that begins June 2027.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete three 8-month rotational assignments across various U.S. locations, adapting quickly tonew technologycenters, business units, and software engineering teams.
  • Execute core engineering milestones within one or more specialized program tracks, including software applications/systems design and development, hands-on coding, testing and implementation, and technical documentation.
  • Stretch your professional and technical capabilities by taking ownership of frontline, hands-on developmentdeliverablesand software codebases.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, systems, and program management teams to define software requirements andoptimizesystem deployment.
  • Present technical reviews, code demonstrations, and strategic engineering data clearly and effectively to diverse stakeholders and leadership teams

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor's orMaster's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major. Degree must be obtained by start date.
  • Willing and able to operationallyrelocateto various RTX geographic locations across the United States for three distinct 8-month program assignments.
  • Relevant internship, co-op, or professional work experience with one or more of the following areas software engineering, embedded development, source code development, testing and implementation protocols, or technical documentation.
  • Experienceutilizingobject-oriented programming languages, software development tools, or testing frameworks (such as Python, C++, Java, or C#).
  • Completed coursework orexperiencewithone or more of the following:core computing fundamentals, including embedded, operating, or real-time systems, data structures and algorithmsORDigital logic, computer architecture, or communication systems

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Active U.S. government secret security clearance.
  • Self-motivated and team-oriented work style with the agility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic technology and software development environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum software development methods and project management workflows.
  • Experience or academic exposure to Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) frameworks and tools, such as Cameo orSysML.
  • Experience with static code analysis, secure coding practices, or safety-critical software engineering methodologies.
  • Functional exposure to Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, test automation tools, or automated software verification frameworks.
  • Prior experience as a software or engineering intern or co-op within an RTX business unit (Collins Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, or Raytheon).

  • Rotation locations will vary &may beonsite, hybrid, or remote. Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility.
  • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
  • Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader
  • Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). If you live within a reasonable commute of an RTX site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role.

The salary range for this role is 52,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.This role is a U.S.-based role.
