Operations Leader Role
The Operations Leader oversees the day-to-day operations of the school, ensuring that facilities, systems, schedules, and administrative processes support a safe, compliant, and effective learning environment. This role focuses on operational consistency, facilities oversight, vendor management, financial oversight, budget support, and cross-functional coordination, all aligned with school policies and franchisor standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily school operations, ensuring facilities, systems, schedules, supplies, and processes support a safe and compliant environment
  • Lead and develop the operations team, including assigning priorities, evaluating performance, and supporting hiring and disciplinary decisions
  • Develop and maintain operational systems, workflows, and procedures to improve efficiency and enhance the student and guest experience
  • Monitor compliance with school policies, state licensing requirements, accreditation standards, federal regulations, and franchisor guidelines
  • Manage facilities operations, including maintenance, cleanliness, safety, and readiness of all spaces
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors, contractors, and IT providers; evaluate performance and recommend improvements
  • Oversee inventory, supplies, purchasing recommendations, and budget tracking within assigned authority
  • Coordinate IT infrastructure, including network systems, WiFi, hardware, and vendor support
  • Identify operational risks and inefficiencies; implement solutions and escalate concerns when needed
  • Support readiness for audits, accreditation reviews, and inspections
  • Oversee timekeeping accuracy, payroll-related processes, and monitor overtime
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Skills/Competencies Required:
  • Education, Licensure, and Experience:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Bachelor's degree or higher in business, operations, facilities management, finance, or a related field preferred.
    • 3-5 years prior experience in operations, facilities management, or administrative leadership required.
    • Experience in an educational, vocational, or service-based environment preferred.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Strong organizational and operational planning skills.
    • Ability to coordinate multiple operational functions simultaneously.
    • Working knowledge of facilities, safety, and basic maintenance oversight.
    • Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
    • Strong oral and written communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
    • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in fast-paced or issue-driven environments.
    • Proficiency with office systems, scheduling tools, and operational tracking systems.
    • Ability to identify risks, prioritize issues, and follow through on resolutions.
