Job description

The Technical Analyst II is a mission-critical role responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting EDI and integration solutions that directly connect Lineage Logistics with its customers and trading partners. This role serves as a primary technical point of contact for customers throughout the onboarding and support lifecycle - conducting regular calls and email communications to drive successful integrations and resolve issues with urgency. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on experience with Boomi or comparable integration platforms, strong knowledge of EDI standards and communication protocols, and the communication skills to bridge technical and business conversations with external stakeholders.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Customer Engagement

  • Serve as a frequent technical point of contact for customers, conducting regular calls and email communications to scope, onboard, and support EDI integrations.

  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible language for customer stakeholders of varying technical backgrounds.

  • Coordinate with customers to gather requirements, validate mappings, manage testing cycles, and confirm go-live readiness.

  • Proactively communicate status updates, risks, and resolutions to customers and internal business partners.

EDI & Integration Development

  • Design, configure, and maintain EDI integrations using Boomi (preferred) or equivalent iPaaS/middleware platforms such as MuleSoft.

  • Develop and manage EDI transaction sets including but not limited to 940, 943, 944, 945, 990, and 997 using X12 and/or EDIFACT standards.

  • Build and manage integration maps, data transformations, and trading partner profiles.

  • Configure and support communication protocols including AS2, SFTP, FTPS, and message queuing technologies.

  • Lead end-to-end testing efforts for EDI integrations, encompassing test scenario development, coordination of testing cycles with customers and internal stakeholders, execution of functional and regression testing, and validation against defined success criteria prior to production go-live.

  • Analyze business requirements and recommend appropriate integration architecture and transaction design approaches.

Support & Operations

  • Monitor production integration environments and respond to incidents with urgency given the mission-critical nature of supply chain operations.

  • Diagnose and resolve unique, recurring, and non-recurring integration issues across EDI, WMS, TMS, and Procurement systems.

  • Coordinate with software vendors to investigate and resolve application issues.

  • Document integration designs, data flow diagrams, testing scenarios, and resolution procedures.

  • Maintain compliance with IT standards and collaborate with the architecture team on risk assessments for new and changing integrations.

Collaboration & Mentorship

  • Contribute independently to moderately complex project aspects and collaborate cross-functionally with IT and business partners.

  • Mentor and train junior team members on EDI standards, integration best practices, and internal processes.

  • Adapt priorities fluidly as business needs evolve across a dynamic, fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

Required

  • 3-5 years of experience in EDI development or systems integration, with demonstrable hands-on delivery.

  • Proficiency with Boomi, MuleSoft, or a comparable iPaaS or EDI translation platform.

  • Working knowledge of EDI standards (X12 and/or EDIFACT) and common transaction sets.

  • Experience with communication protocols: AS2, SFTP, FTPS, and messaging/queuing technologies.

  • Comfort working directly with customers - conducting calls, managing expectations, and resolving issues in a professional, service-oriented manner.

  • Hands-on experience with SQL and backend database platforms for data validation and troubleshooting.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to engage effectively with both technical teams and non-technical customer stakeholders.

Preferred

  • Boomi Associate Developer or Professional certification.

  • Experience integrating with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), or Procurement platforms.

  • Familiarity with supply chain or 3PL logistics environments.

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • Experience with scripting tools and data transformation concepts.

Work Environment

This role operates within a mission-critical supply chain integration environment where system reliability directly impacts customer operations and Lineage's ability to fulfill its logistics commitments. The analyst is expected to exercise sound independent judgment, manage competing priorities under pressure, and maintain a high standard of quality and responsiveness.
