Job description

Avenues Recovery Center is a nationwide network of drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers with eighteen locations across seven states. We provide individualized, evidence-based treatment across detox, residential, PHP, IOP, and outpatient levels of care in clean, modern environments.
We are seeking a Clinical Operations Manager to support and scale clinical excellence across our multi-site behavioral health network by improving systems, strengthening programming, and ensuring consistency in care delivery, documentation, and compliance.
Position Overview
Location: Corporate office based in Lakewood, NJ
Travel: Occasional travel to facilities preferred
Hours: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Quality, Compliance & Oversight
  • Ensure consistency in clinical care delivery across all levels of care
  • Oversee documentation standards, chart quality, and clinical compliance
  • Conduct audits, site visits, and quality reviews to maintain regulatory and internal standards
  • Partner with utilization review and leadership on clinical and compliance needs
Systems, EMR & Workflow Optimization
  • Improve and standardize clinical workflows and systems across facilities
  • Ensure EMR templates and processes meet clinical, billing, and authorization requirements
  • Identify gaps in operational processes and implement scalable solutions
Training & Workforce Development
  • Lead onboarding, training, and ongoing development of clinical staff and leadership
  • Implement clinical curriculum, tools, and training resources across sites
  • Strengthen crisis response training including prevention, de-escalation, and intervention
Multi-Site Clinical Operations & Strategy
  • Support new facility openings and ongoing operational clinical initiatives
  • Develop and track clinical performance metrics to improve outcomes and retention
  • Research and integrate best practices in substance use and co-occurring treatment
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, leadership, and clinical teams
Qualifications
Required / Preferred
  • Master's degree in Behavioral Health, Psychology, Social Work, or related field (preferred)
  • Active clinical license (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent) preferred
  • Experience in substance use treatment strongly preferred
Experience
  • Multi-site clinical operations, program leadership, or systems-level clinical work
  • Experience in audits, compliance, quality assurance, or regulatory oversight
  • Background in training, curriculum development, or clinical supervision preferred
